Meredith Small Wallace, RID IIDA ASID graduated from Princeton University with a degree in comparative literature followed by a Masters in Interior Design from Parsons School of Design in New York City in 2006. She returned to Dallas to work on high-end residential projects with Emily Summers Design Associates followed by commercial interiors at Good Fulton & Farrell Architects. After passing the licensure examinations administered by the NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification), Meredith was recognized by TBAE (Texas Board of Architectural Examiners) as a Registered Interior Designer in 2010. Meredith Small Design Group, PLLC was launched later that year. In addition to her passion for architecture and design, Meredith cherishes time with her family (husband, Scott and son, Bud) and prizes her community involvement with The Real Estate Council, The Pierian Junior Club, and The Princeton Alumni Association of Dallas/Ft. Worth.
Liz Parham Johnson, AIA RA completed the five year professional degree from the School of Architecture at the University of Texas in Austin in the spring of 2002. Post graduation she took a four month leave of absence to study architecture and travel Europe after which, she came back to work at Good Fulton and Farrell Architects in Dallas, Texas. Her 9 year career at Good Fulton and Farrell allowed her to gain extensive knowledge and experience with multiple building types and project types. She managed budgets and design teams on everything from a small restaurant to a multi-million dollar adaptive re-use facility. This allowed to her to hone her communication skills to effectively manage teams of 20+ people. After Good Fulton and Farrell she went on to Brand Sayers Architects who specialize in the science of Building Envelopes. After four years of learning different building systems and detailing, she joined forces with Meredith Small Wallace to create Wallace Johnson Studio. She passed her architectural registration exams in 2010 and is now a licensed Architect. On her days off, Liz spends time with her husband and twin toddlers, Emerson and Parker.
Lauren Doan, Project Coordinator, received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the University of North Texas, and joined the team in early 2014. Lauren has over 6 years of experience in the design and service fields. Previously she specialized in hospitality and restaurant design equipping her with a broad array of knowledge and tools to excel in the design industry. Her leadership, creativity and innovative spirit continue to shine through as she takes on a variety of responsibilities here.
She attributes her rendering, management, and composition skills to her history in the industry, fascination with design, and her keen attention to detail. Additionally, traveling as a part of a competitive soccer team for most of her life she has a deeply rooted love for different cultures which can be seen through her diverse design skills and management of various types of projects and concepts.
